Rust Software engineer
What we do?
We are an Amsterdam / Delft based start-up that delivers geotechnical software as a service. One of our products is a Finite Element Solver for groundwater modelling. This products needs to be ported to Rust and WebAssembly.
Our tech stack
Currently our tech stack involves, amongst others, the following:
- Google Cloud Platform
- Python (for libraries and web API's)
- scipy/ numpy stack
- Rust / Backend (web API's)
- openapi/ swagger
- PostgreSQL/ PostGIS
- Apache Airflow
- Google BigQuery
What will you be doing?
You'll be responsible for the software engineering side of the FEM project. The key is to make clean, well tested and documented future prove code. You will be cooperating with our domain specialists to solve challenging problems and mentor the (starting) software engineers. Obviously your expertise is required to contribute to other projects.
To make this project and our future developments a success you will need to have experience in writing Rust software (experience gained through open source projects or otherwise). It would be great if you also have experience in WebAssembly, Docker/Kubernetes or web development.
