Backend developer Python

We are looking for a backend developer to help deliver engineering related software and REST API's.

What we do?
We are an Amsterdam / Delft based start-up that delivers geotechnical software as a service. We come from a geo-engineering company and automate internal processes by making engineering pipelines.

These pipelines are created in a JupyterHub environment which connects internally created Python libraries and microservices (through rest API's). Besides automating internal processes, we are planning to expose the well-tested API's as a service to external companies.

Our tech stack
Currently our tech stack involves, amongst others, the following:

  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Python (for libraries and web API's)
    • Flask
    • scipy/ numpy stack
    • pytest
  • Rust / Backend (web API's)
  • openapi/ swagger
  • VueJS
  • PostgreSQL/ PostGIS
  • Gitlab
  • Apache Airflow
  • Google BigQuery
  • graphQL

What will you be doing?
We need a good web developer with interest in the tech stack above.
You will be helping to deliver production ready API's and help writing geotechinal software and designing engineering pipelines.

A key project is the development of a data landscape for technical sensor data. This project will involve orchestration of the data ETL and creating the backend for a custom dashboard.
