Windpark Windplanblauw is being realised in the north-western corner of Flevoland. The wind turbines in the wind farm need a foundation. In order to make this foundation, excavation work is necessary. Partly through smart programming by CEMS further delay was avoided.

In order to make this foundation, excavation work is necessary. During the lowering of the groundwater level, the iron concentration in the groundwater turned out to be higher than previously thought. In order not to delay the project, CRUX made a new implementation design as a matter of priority, in which the excavation and drainage strategy was optimised, partly through smart programming by CEMS, the vertical stability calculation was automated. This enabled Dura Vermeer to develop the 37 foundations for onshore wind turbines without further delay.

Among others, colleagues Thomas Sweijen and Robin Wimmers have been involved in this publication in Land + Water (July-August 2022, only available in Dutch).

CEMS-advisors and -specialists regularly contribute to the knowledge development in the sector by giving courses, writing articles/publications in professional journals or giving (guest) lectures at universities or colleges.
